The neo-baroque building of Danube Palace is where three of the most well known Hungarian folk ensembles perform with great success:

  • Hungarian State Folk Ensemble
  • Danube Folk Ensemble
  • Rajko Folk Ensemble (former Hungaria Folk Ensemble & Orchestra)

Needless to say, the most prestigious folk ensemble is the national dance ensemble, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble. Booking in advance is warmly recommended. Please see our reservation form on the left side.

The more traditional folk dances and music are performed by the Rajko Folk Ensemble and the Danube Folk Ensemble.

Dear Cristina,

thank you for contacting us.

There are no Folk Shows in January, the first available date is 25 February. Should you wish to organize a private Hungarian Folk Show event for your group in Budapest, please contact us.

Thank you for your understanding.

Have you perhaps thought about an amazing Hungarian Folk Music and Dance Show on a boat tour in Budapest while the beautiful sights of the city on 28 January? Options include an evening Danube Cruise with 5 Drinks or on a 4-Course Served Dinner, special dietary needs are considered.

More info and booking:

Have a nice time in Budapest.

Hi, my kids are 6 and 4 years. Will they be allowed for the folk dance? Charges would be same as students?
Also any special rates for travel agents?
Please let me know. Our dates of visit would be 14 June 2017.
Many thanks,

Dear Bhairavi,
Yes, children are also welcome at the Folk Shows. As there is no special child ticket, you can purchase student tickets for them, except if the kids are sitting in an adult’s lap (meaning they don’t require their own seats) – in this case they can come free of charge.
Please note that we can only offer discount for groups. Thank you for your understanding.

Also wanted to know if there were enough vegetarian options in the dinner menu at either restaurants. As mentioned, we are with kids, so which restaurant do you recommend?

Dear Bhairavi,
in this case I would recommend you the Dinner Cruise & Folk Show program, where you can order a special vegetarian menu:

Hi I’m interested in the DRC with folk music and dinner option on May 25. However in the dinner menu, there isn’t a chicken option, hence was wondering is it possible to have a special menu with chicken.

Dear Arijit,
should you be interested in the Folk Show program & 10 pm Dinner Cruise, I can confirm that the menu includes a main course with chicken. You can find the full Buffet Dinner Menu on the following page:

Good evening,
We are interested in booking a group in the region of 40 pax, preferably on the 30th or 31st August, in a venue nearest to the Unio Hotel – Budapest. Can you please quote the prices of tickets for this group as well as whether transport can be provided? We would also appreciate knowing the latest possible time for booking, since we have to consult our patrons beforehand. An early reply would oblige.
